A. Our Commitment

The use of our website is generally possible without providing personal data. Where personal data (such as name, address, or email addresses) is collected on our pages, this is always done on a voluntary basis wherever possible.

This data will not be passed on to third parties without your explicit consent.

B. Information About the Collection of Personal Data:

(1) Below we inform you about the collection of personal data when using our website. Personal data is any data that can be personally related to you, e.g. name, address, email addresses, user behavior.

(2) The responsible party pursuant to Art. 4 Abs. 7 EU-Datenschutz-Grundverordnung (DS-GVO) is West Umzüge, Ali Hassan Pour-Habibi (Owner), Altonaer Chaussee 36, 22869 Schenefeld ( see Legal Notice ).

(3) When you contact us by email or via a contact form, the data you provide (your email address, your address, your name, and if applicable your telephone number) will be stored by us to answer your questions. We delete the data arising in this context after the statutory retention period has expired.

(4) If we use commissioned service providers for individual functions of our offering or wish to use your data for advertising purposes, we will inform you in detail below about the respective processes. We will also state the defined criteria for the storage duration.

C. Your Rights

(1) You have the following rights with respect to the personal data concerning you:

  • Right to information,
  • Right to rectification or deletion,
  • Right to restriction of processing,
  • Right to object to processing,
  • Right to data portability.

(2) You also have the right to complain to a data protection supervisory authority about the processing of your personal data by us.

D. Collection of Personal Data When Visiting Our Website

(1) Storage in log files: When using the website for informational purposes only, i.e. if you do not register or otherwise transmit information to us, we only collect the personal data that your browser transmits to our server. If you wish to view our website, we collect the following data, which is technically necessary for us to display our website and to ensure stability and security (legal basis is Art. 6 Abs. 1 S. 1 lit. f DS-GVO):

  • IP address (time-limited)
  • Date and time of the request
  • Time zone difference to Greenwich Mean Time (GMT)
  • Content of the request (specific page)
  • Access status/HTTP status code
  • Amount of data transferred
  • Website from which the request originates
  • Browser
  • Operating system and its interface
  • Language and version of the browser software.

Through an automated process, all personal data (particularly IP addresses) is anonymized after approximately 2 weeks. After approximately 4-8 weeks, an anonymous access statistic is created by aggregating all data records and the collected log files are deleted.

(2) Cookies: In addition to the previously mentioned data, cookies may be stored on your computer when you use our website. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your hard drive assigned to the browser you use, through which certain information flows to the entity that sets the cookie (in this case, us). Cookies cannot execute programs or transmit viruses to your computer. They serve to make the internet offering as a whole more user-friendly and effective.

You can configure your browser settings according to your preferences and, for example, refuse the acceptance of third-party cookies or all cookies. Please note that you may not be able to use all functions of this website. You can delete the cookies in your browser’s security settings at any time.

The following cookies are stored on your computer:

  • Session cookie (storage duration: until the browser is closed)
  • Use of the moving form: your user inputs and settings (storage duration: approx. 60 days)
  • Use of the contact form: your user inputs and settings (storage duration: approx. 14 days)
  • Third-party cookies, if you consent to the use of external services in a separate popup (currently only Google Maps. The storage duration is beyond our control.)
  • Only when logged in: login identification (storage duration: < 1 day)

No data determined by cookies is transmitted by us to third parties, except in the individual cases described in Section E to ensure the operation of this website. We do not use cookies to identify you outside of this internet offering.

(3) Analytics: Analytics tools such as Google Analytics are not used.

(4) Form inputs: The data you voluntarily enter in the provided input forms is transmitted in encrypted form to our internal systems. Your data is only stored on the computer systems necessary for processing. After the legally prescribed retention period (generally 10 years for business transactions), this data is deleted. Your information is always treated confidentially. Data is not transmitted to third parties unless it is appropriate and expected within the scope of processing.

(1) The operators of the pages expressly reserve the right to take legal action in the event of unsolicited sending of advertising information, such as spam emails.

(2) In the event of improper use of this site, all technically available access data will be stored until the next evaluation. In these cases, we reserve the right to forward this data to third parties for evaluation and improvement of countermeasures. We expressly point out that any improper login attempt constitutes a legal violation and leads to automated extended storage of the entire session data. During normal use of this website with a web browser, extended storage cannot be triggered.
